The Senior Manager, Strategic Project is a strategic partner to the Chief of Staff, providing critical support in managing the operational and policy-related functions of the executive office. This role is responsible for driving the execution of strategic initiatives, providing insightful policy analysis, and leveraging data to inform decision-making at the highest levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public policy, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights through compelling visualizations.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Analysis & Development

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of public policy issues with support from government and regulatory affairs staff

  • Develop policy recommendations and briefing materials for senior leadership.

  • Consult with Government and Regulatory Affairs on the political and regulatory landscape to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.

Data Analysis & Visualization

  • Utilize data analysis and visualization tools to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights for strategic planning and policy decisions.

  • Create compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for executive-level presentations and stakeholder communications.

  • Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to ensure the integrity and effective use of data in decision-making processes.

Strategic & Operational Support

  • Assist the Chief of Staff in the day-to-day management of the executive office, ensuring the smooth flow of information and timely execution of priorities.

  • Manage cross-functional projects, from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

  • Prepare agendas, briefing materials, and presentations for high-level meetings.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a liaison between the executive office and internal/external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and community partners.

  • Represent the Chief of Staff in meetings and on committees as required.

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex policy ideas and information into clear, data-drive narratives, and effectively communicate them to diverse audiences, from technical experts to C-suite executives

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a public policy, government affairs, or strategic analysis role.

  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and creating data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software.

  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex legislation and policy documents.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in public speaking and presenting to executive audiences.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstrates AI literacy with the ability to identify and apply emerging AI tools to improve business outcomes and operational effectiveness.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience working in the healthcare or insurance industry.

  • Proficiency in data analysis languages such as Python or R, and database query languages like SQL.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, executive-level environment.

Salary Range: $128,300.00 - $156,900.00

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
