Job Summary:
Serves as lead analyst and key liaison, working closely with colleagues and customers to ensure in-house or deployed systems and devices are kept current and functional. Develops strategies for application deployment, manages application installations and configuration and assists other engineering teams with system architectures, design, development and integration. Assures all applications are well behaved and all platforms, OS’s (Windows, AIX, UNIX, LINUX, etc) and networks are properly configured to support the production, test and development environments effectively and efficiently. Additionally, ensures all application migrations, upgrades and installations are well rehearsed and documented prior to conducting official installations. This effort requires close coordination with other engineering groups. This position works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
In-depth technical triage skillset to ensure of all back-office issues are remedied as quickly as possible
Teams with IT Management to ensure priorities are clear and work distribution amongst the resourcing pool
Ensure all monitoring and managing controls are deployed and updated as system configuration changes take place
Liaisons with IT Architecture/Management to ensure systems are architected to performance and availability
Proven ability to properly defined and document systems design, policies and procedures including all system level interdependencies
Champion deployment of software automation pipelines partnering closing with DevOps to ensure 100% automated, rapid best-in-breed software deployments
Partnering with Information Security, IT Architecture and DevOps to ensure compliance standards are maintained and built into automation scripts
Lead Technical Resource to articulate, escalate and troubleshot advanced technical issue partnering closely with program engineering and product development
Provide assistance with Windows, LINUX, and SaaS based platforms in relation to application function and performance
Detailed understanding of log analysis and problem recognition, related to Linux operating systems
Prior experience with both cloud (Azure and AWS) and on-premise based infrastructure
Prior experisnce with Kubernetes based applications including deployment, troubleshooting, automation, monitoring
High Level knowledge of core networking competencies and how they relate to customer delivery
Ability to be remain and composed during high stress intervals
Mentors staff, key liaison to peers and others system analysts proving the skill sets and problem recognition
Participates as a primary contact in the 24x7 on-call support rotation
Determined and measured approach when Interacting with application and infrastructure vendors and distributors
Prior experience working directly with external customer base to turn requirements into technical solutions
Provide hands and feet support for walk in centers in New Hampshire, and data centers and offices in Boston
Minimum Job Requirements:
Four-year college degree, in computer science or related technical field, plus a minimum of eight years systems administration/analyst experience. Master’s Degree in related discipline is a plus. Extensive knowledge and experience in maintaining applications, deep understand of Unix-based applications and interdependencies. Knowledge and experience managing networks. Knowledge and experience administrating various Windows and UNIX Operating Systems, including Perl Scripting. Knowledge of databases, including SQL Server and Oracle. Knowledge of SQL in general. In depth understanding of System Administration/Analyst methodology and principles. ITIL experience. Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications. 25% domestic travel is required.
Cubic Pay Range:
$70,000.00 - $118,000.00 + benefits.
The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
