Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Senior Supply Chain Analyst in BOSTON, Massachusetts
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst improves the efficiency of supply chain operations through data collection and analysis. Reporting directly to the Director Supply Chain Systems, Analytics, Reporting, Communications within DFCI Supply Chain, this role will provide analytical and financial reporting to the organization. This information will enable sourcing strategy and execution as well as ongoing performance management and reporting. The Senior Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for disseminating information from a spend analytics tool, tracking savings, project reporting as well as executive presentations and documentation. The Senior Supply Chain Analyst will aggregate and present overall performance metrics of the procurement organization from the programs/ projects we implement. The role is responsible for the ongoing financial management of the Procurement budget (forecast, planning and reporting, and reporting impact to P&L The position requires excellent attention to detail, in-depth understanding of the delivery process and exceptional analytics skills. They use interpersonal and problem-solving skills to gather information from different sources to recommend ways of improving the supply chain, identifying sourcing opportunities, identifying operational improvements, and tracking value delivery.

Provides analytical support to the supply chain team to achieve the supply chain goals and objectives of the organization
Develops detailed knowledge of DFCI supply base and spending. Improve accuracy and usability of spend analytics across the organization
Assists in the development of key reporting tools
Identifies data to provide new insights to procurement and accounts payable processes
Develops and implements strategy for supply utilization, standardization, and process improvement; evaluates findings, and reports and make recommendations utilizing data and analytics
Develops and manages ongoing compliance, performance monitoring, and savings reporting
Maintains and improves data governance framework to optimize data and reporting
Identifies cost savings opportunities for products currently in use through review and analysis of group purchasing contracts and market data
Monitors supply utilization and purchase patterns on a routine/scheduled basis
Compiles reports, analyzes data, and make recommendations for addition/deletion of products and/or process changes to reduce operating cost and ensure continuity of supply
Proactively identifies cost savings initiatives through group purchasing organization (GPO) contracts
Develops and populates analytical models to review qualitative and quantitative evaluations and costing scenarios during the bidding process
Leads the collection and analysis of market intelligence to support the Sourcing and Category Management activities
Collaborates with hospital and system-level departments and staff to monitor and report on compliance of implemented changes in products, services, and processes
Builds and maintains strong partnerships with Supply Chain Teams and vendors
Mentors and develops junior team members
Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge and familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau to design and develop reporting analytics and visualizations
Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
Ability to sift through large amounts of data from various sources, and summarize relevant information
Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work and communicate with others
Quickly and comfortably learn new software tools
Demonstrated success leading a complex decision support function including ad hoc reporting, transaction reporting, and market research/analysis
Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skill
Strong written and oral communication skills; strong presentation development skills
Ability to function with the support of their manager in a fast-paced environment
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to be detailed and accurate
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Supply Chain, or Business, along with at least 4 years of healthcare industry experience, preferably in procurement.
Candidates should have expertise in agile project management, data tools like SQL, Python, Tableau, or R, and advanced computer skills in MS Office and data mining. Strong knowledge of market research, business intelligence, and data visualization is essential.

The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
