Citizens Senior Project Manager - Consumer Credit Card in Boston, Massachusetts
Description
The Consumer Credit Card Senior Project Manager supports successful execution of initiatives by managing cross-functional workstreams, ensuring accountability from agile and non-agile workstream owners. This role works closely with business, technology, operations, and external partners to help execute projects that support product enhancements, operational improvements, and strategic priorities.
The Project Manager operates in a hybrid delivery environment, supporting both agile and non‑agile teams, and contributes to effective planning, communication, and execution across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Execution
Support planning and execution of projects supporting the Credit Card line of business
Assist in translating business goals into project plans, milestones, and deliverables
Track progress, dependencies, risks, and issues; escalate as appropriate
Help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives
Agile & Non‑Agile Team Support
Partner with agile teams to coordinate sprint activities, releases, and dependencies
Support traditional project delivery tasks such as documentation, testing coordination, and implementation support
Follow established delivery frameworks and adapt to different project needs
Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration
Serve as a point of contact for assigned stakeholders and working teams
Support collaboration with internal partners across business, technology, operations, risk, and compliance
Assist with coordination of external vendors and partners to ensure deliverables are met
Risk, Issue & Financial Tracking
Maintain project documentation including plans, RAID logs, and status reports
Identify project risks and issues and support mitigation planning
Assist with basic financial tracking, forecasts, and benefits tracking as needed
Reporting & Governance
Prepare materials for project meetings, track action items, and follow up on commitments
Provide regular status updates to project leadership and stakeholders
Support governance activities and documentation required for audits or reviews
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2–4 years of project coordination or project management experience
Familiarity with financial services, payments, credit cards, or consumer products
Basic understanding of agile and waterfall delivery approaches
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting projects within a Credit Card or Payments environment
Exposure to agile teams or scaled agile frameworks
Project management certification or coursework (PMP, CAPM, Scrum, or similar)

Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: M-F
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - 125,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
