CBRE Laboratory Services Asset Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

CBRE Full Spectrum Lab Servicesprovides end to end scientific support for clients across life sciences,manufacturing, and other industries. We partner with pharmaceutical and biotechcompanies, healthcare, food and beverage producers, automotive and toolinginnovators, and both contract research organizations (CROs) and contractmanufacturing organizations (CMOs) to keep their operations running at peakperformance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides support services to facilitate the repair, maintenance,calibration, and certification of laboratory instrumentation. Responsible foradministering repair, PM, and calibration work order requests, customerinquiries, and associated Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) Record.Ensures customer satisfaction with all work order requirements, following up onall requests, efficiently meeting and advancing the business needs, and workingclosely with all members of the wider team to provide a proactive and focusedapproach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaises with staff regarding services requiredfor installation, maintenance, moves, and relocations. Supports the proposeditems of instrumentation.

  • Acts as the first point of contact for allthird-party contractors, ensuring that they have a valid EHS and GMP induction,a thorough risk assessment, and an official method statement and permit, priorto the commencement of work.

  • Using the Computerized Maintenance ManagementSystem (CMMS), administers the closure manage work orders in compliance withprocedures and practices. Keeps end users apprised of work order status andacts as a lead for the timely escalation of service request(s). Ensures CMMSrecords are updated accurately and reflects the current status of theequipment.

  • Performs daily equipment preparation and setup.Prepares quality control standards and performs checks on instruments, ensuringthat equipment available for staff scientist.

  • Replenishes solvents used in conjunction withlaboratory equipment, as needed.

  • Ensures purchase order(s) are in place inconjunction with prior commencement of non-contract work.

  • Assists in audit preparation; retrievesdocumentation for inspection purposes.

  • Prepares the mobile-phase solutions that areused in conjunction with experiments conducted on laboratory equipment.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provideinformal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers.May coordinate work and assign tasks.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required and aminimum of four years of related experience or equivalent work experience;pharmaceutical and/or GMP experience. Previous customer service oradministration experience preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence,and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability towrite routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to commoninquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability toeffectively present information to an internal department and/or large groupsof employees.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability tocalculate simple figures such as percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standardsituations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basicanalytical skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Experience with Desktop publishing, Microsoft Office Suite, and OnlineHelp.

Knowledge of GxP and understanding of a lab instrument servicesenvironment.

Experience working with databases and/or systems.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Lab Services Assets Manager position is $60,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Lab Services Assets Manager is $80,000 position is annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
