CBRE Field Service Engineer II - Lab Services - LC/MS - Boston-based in Boston, Massachusetts
About the Role
Primary travel will be Boston-based, 90% day trips in driving distance. Vehicle provided.
10% coverage of New England region requiring overnight travel.
Full Spectrum Lab Services from CBRE offers a professional suite of services to a variety of clients in the life sciences industry, including those in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, and genomics, as well as contract research organizations (CROs) and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).

What You'll Do
Perform installation, repair, PM and IQ/OQ/PQ services on analytical instruments (e.g., Agilent, Waters, Shimadzu) at various customer locations
Diagnose and troubleshoot operational problems on the following lab equipment (and/or equipment of similar complexity):
LC MS the primary focus of this position
GC MS
Related peripherals, e.g., headspace & autosampler
Maintain relationship with customer
Complete service report on each service ticket completion
Train customers and other service representatives on maintenance tasks
Participate in the growth of the region and company
Identify business opportunities
Perform a variety of tasks in relation to FSG objectives
What You'll Need
Service experience and knowledge of LC/MS - Triple Quad and TOF strongly preferred
Experience with GC, HPLC, Purge & Trap, TOC, & GC/MS desired
Bachelor’s degree in science (chemistry, analytical chemistry biochemistry, biotechnology or similar) or equivalent lab experience
Knowledge of lab practices, standard concepts, and test procedures for analytical instruments
MS office skills required
Ability to lift 50 pounds,
A valid Driver’s License in good standing is mandatory
Ability to train others

What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Field Service Engineer position is 100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $130,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
