WSP USA Early Career Structural Engineer in Boston, Massachusetts
This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Early Career Structural Enginee r for our New England district. This position is open to our Boston, MA office.
Your Impact
Bridge and Structure Design, Rehabilitation / Repair / Retrofit of Bridges and other structures
CAD experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Structural Analysis using commercial software programs
Evaluation of Existing Structures including Load Ratings (AASHTOWare BrR)
Assistance in the preparation of Quantity Estimates, Specifications, Review of Shop Drawings
Preparation of Reports and Participation in Field Work

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.
0 to 3 years of relevant post education experience
Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
EIT/FE Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's graduate program is a plus
Working knowledge of CTDOT, MassDOT, MBTA, RIDOT, NHDOT, MaineDOT and/or VTrans requirements and standards
Focus on structural analysis/design courses preferred
Familiarity with commercial drafting and analysis programs preferred

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $69,900 - $96,030
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
