OPPORTUNITY FOR EXPERIENCED PIPE FOREMAN AND CREW IN BLOWING ROCK, NC
Fountain Services and Fountain Development are seeking an experienced grading foreman and crew of two equipment operators for a 3-month project in Blowing Rock, NC.
Top pay, sign-on bonuses, and per diem!
Grading Foreman: $45/hr. and $10,000 sign-on bonus
Equipment Operator: $25-35/hr. based on experience and $2,000 sign-on bonus
$100/day per diem for all
Overtime will be authorized and encouraged.
Your Role: Grading Foreman
The grading foreman position requires hands-on leadership and a strong background in installing storm water, water, and sewer systems, and thorough knowledge of trench safety. The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-focused, and capable of managing daily field operations while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of pipe crews
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes
Oversee installation of storm drainage, water lines, and sanitary sewer systems
Ensure work is completed according to project specifications and timelines
Maintain safety compliance and enforce company safety policies
Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
Monitor materials, equipment usage, and crew productivity
Troubleshoot field issues and provide solutions on-site
Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Grading Foreman or similar leadership role
Proven experience with storm water, water, and sewer pipe installation
Ability to read and understand construction plans and elevations
Strong leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with GPS and/or laser grading equipment
Equipment operation experience (excavator, loader, etc.)
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

Minimum Experience Required
Candidates should have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the operation of equipment such as excavators, mini-excavators, skid-steers, trenchers, and tamps in a construction setting.
