Accrued time is available to use immediately! Position The Maintenance Mechanic performs building maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment. They are responsible for SEKISUI Aerospace facilities and manufacturing equipment, making sure it operates at utmost potential, and is maintained to ensure maximum availability. Maintenance Technicians repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, HVAC equipment, production machines and equipment. Duties Ensure that all SEKISUI equipment and facilities are 100% compliant to standard safety practices and regulatory organizations (OSHA, ANSI, UL, NFPA), customer processing specs (BAC, RPS) qualification requirements, and aerospace industry accredited organization (nadcap, ncamp) requirements Act as the front-line response for any machine issues, including troubleshooting and diagnostics, on all factory equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. This includes responding to requests related to Lock-Out Tag-Out Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices Diagnose electrical & controls issues with equipment and SCADA system Coordinate work activities with outside contractors and vendors as needed Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment on a defined schedule and maintain preventative maintenance instructions Work with production scheduling when maintaining facilities/equipment to ensure production impact is minimized Provide accurate time estimates to production management on maintenance functions Ensure maintenance spares inventory is maintained at minimum levels and spares are reordered as they are consumed Install, relocate, facilitate and startup equipment as required Work independently with minimal supervision Read and understand technical/repair manuals and vendor resources; install new machines Communicate equipment repair status with direct supervisor and production department supervisors and leads Have a sense of urgency for repairs affecting production downtime Qualifications Able to read, understand, and follow wiring schematics Experience in: The repair of numerical control machines like CNC machines, ply cutters, and ultrasonic inspection systems Compressed air systems Basic metal fabrication, cutting and welding Troubleshooting PLC controls An understanding of autoclaves, pressure vessels, and gas fired batch equipment Familiarity with the use and maintenance of various pneumatic hand tools Working knowledge of dust collection equipment, HVAC, walk-in freezers and hydraulic systems Ability to climb ladders, operate hand & power tools, drive forklift & scissor lift, utilize fall restraint harness and assemble heavy mechanisms Experience 3-7 years of previous experience performing basic maintenance repairs including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical under daily supervision Experience with high voltage electrical systems 480V /240V, AC/DC control systems Previous electrical and controls diagnostics experience preferred Education High school diploma or gene
