Job Purpose
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for facilitating financial reporting activities for Credit & Collections. This role requires a combination of analytical thinking, database experience, and advanced Excel capabilities, including VBA development, to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy.
This position reports to the AR Analytics and Customer Portal Billing Sr. Manager and will assist the team to meet/exceed departmental objectives and goals, KPI reporting, produce and analyze reports, and develop ways to automate reporting (using VBA, Macros, Access, etc.) and other duties as assigned.
What you will do...
Design, develop, and maintain recurring receivables and ad hoc reports to support business decision-making
Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple sources using VBA and other tools
Build and maintain automated reporting solutions using advanced Excel and VBA (beyond basic macro recording)
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and systems
Troubleshoot and optimize existing reports, queries, and automation processes
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs and process improvement opportunities
Maintain awareness of assigned targets and meet/exceed these targets.
Provide and articulate receivables reporting analysis to enable rapid, fact-based decision making and economic thinking.
Areas of analysis may include overall receivables, cash forecasting, aging/percent delinquent/ DSO reporting/Bad Debt reporting, and dispute analysis.
Develop and maintain good relationships with key business groups to enable improved decision-making.
Support month-end, quarterly and yearly reporting.
Become a subject matter expert and trusted partner supporting the analytical needs of the OTC credit and collections department
Effectively communicate with various levels of leadership.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in business analysis, reporting, or data analytics
3+ years of experience with Access databases and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including writing and maintaining VBA code for automation
Experience using various tools to analyze large amounts of data (i.e., Excel, SQL, Qlik, Salesforce, GetPaid, Dbeaver)
Experience improving or automating manual reporting processes

Pay Range: $80,000 - $95,000
