Carris Reels, Inc. is hiring 3 Layout operators!One on 1st shiftandtwo on 2nd shift!
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Department Supervisor, theProduction Layoutpersonnel will build flanges using lumber boards, according to spec and ensuring a quality product is sent on to the next step.
Key Position Functions:
- Layout a pattern of lumber boards ranging from to 1 thick and from 24 to 42 in length in one direction, then stack a second layer in the opposite direction.
- Staple the lumber boards (flanges) with a nail gun, in a circular motion
- Flip this flange over to a lift table.
- Repeat this process until you get a stack of 15 flanges, then it will be picked up and you will continue with a new stack.
This process is done repeatedly for the entire shift.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
- High School or Equivalent work experience
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Prior use of nail gun is helpful, but not essential
- Ability to lift up to 25-75lbs
- Heavy lifting, twisting, constant use of hands, arms, and legs, stacking heavy lumber boards, flipping completed flanges over onto a stack.
