Wesley House Assisted Living Caregiver in Bonham, Texas

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver to join our team and provide high-quality care to our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, dementia care, and hospice care, with a focus on delivering personalized support and care. Duties: - Provide direct support to clients in their homes or in our care facilities, assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. - Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities such as reading, playing games, or simply having conversations. - Accompany clients to medical appointments, providing transportation as needed. - Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and laundry. - Assist with mealtime, including meal preparation and feeding. - Maintain accurate records of client care, including medication schedules and daily activities. - Ensure client safety by monitoring and reporting any changes in their condition or environment. - Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information. - Work collaboratively with other caregivers and healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans. - Provide care and support to clients with autism, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. - Perform lifting and transfer tasks safely and efficiently. - Maintain a clean and organized living space, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. - Participate in in-service training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. - Provide childcare services to clients with young children, ensuring their safety and well-being. Experience: - Prior experience in senior care, dementia care, or hospice care is essential. - Experience working with clients with autism is preferred. - Must have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Must be physically capable of lifting and transferring clients. - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - Completion of caregiver training or certification is preferred. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour
