Senior Field Service Technician | Bolingbrook, IL

? What You’ll Be Doing

  • Installing, servicing, and maintaining water purification and treatment equipment using a company service vehicle

  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing‑related issues

  • Providing direct, customer‑facing support while representing Xylem professionally

  • Participating in an on‑call rotation, including occasional afternoons/weekends

  • Identifying and addressing safety concerns on customer and company equipment

  • Utilizing smart devices and Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting

  • Operating with high independence while supporting a team culture built on accountability and safety

? Where You’ll Make an Impact

You’ll report to the Bolingbrook service hub and travel daily to customer sites throughout the region — keeping essential water treatment systems running and helping ensure reliable, safe water solutions for commercial and industrial customers.

? Travel You Can Expect

  • 50%+ daily travel using a company vehicle

  • Home daily (no regular overnight travel required for this posting)

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2–5 years of technical experience preferred — industrial or commercial process water experience is a plus

  • Mechanical aptitude; electrical or plumbing experience is a bonus

  • Experience using smart devices and Microsoft Office for service documentation

  • Ability to work in a high customer‑facing environment

  • Ability to identify and resolve safety concerns

  • Must pass background check, drug screen, MVR, and DOT physical

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • The estimated salary range for this position is $30 to $35/hour.   Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills and experience.
