Actalent Quality Control Technician in Bolingbrook, Illinois

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work on the production line, performing quality control checks and basic testing on products including salt, acid, viscosity, and moisture. This role involves checking Critical Control Points using equipment such as metal detectors and x-ray machines, conducting pre-operation inspections, and performing microbiological and allergen swabbing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control checks on the production line.

  • Conduct basic product testing for salt, acid, viscosity, and moisture levels.

  • Monitor Critical Control Points using metal detectors and x-ray machines.

  • Conduct pre-operation inspections.

  • Perform microbiological and allergen swabbing.

  • Oversee 1-2 production lines at a time.

  • Handle a sample load of up to 10 samples per hour.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing and GMP practices.

  • Experience in quality assurance or quality control.

  • Ability to work independently and manage one's own time.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • PCQI/HACCP certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Proactive attitude and ability to manage workload efficiently.

  • Consideration for new graduates.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bolingbrook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
