Senior Mechanical Engineer (Automation / Tooling)
Location: Boise, ID (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $80–$90/hr
Type: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire
About the Opportunity
Kelly Engineering is partnering with a leading company in the semiconductor manufacturing space to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer . This is a hands-on role focused on mechanical design, tooling, and automation systems supporting a fast-paced production environment.
This position offers strong long-term potential with a clear path to conversion.
Key Responsibilities
Design and modify mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks (3D CAD)
Support development of tooling, fixtures, and automation systems
Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and quality teams
Assist with builds, testing, and troubleshooting on the production floor
Drive continuous improvement and optimize designs for manufacturability and reliability
Required Qualifications
8–10+ years of mechanical engineering experience
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
Experience in manufacturing, tooling, or automation environments
Ability to work both in design and hands-on production support
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Experience
Background in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments
Experience supporting automation equipment or production tooling systems
Additional Details
12-month contract with strong potential for full-time conversion
Fully onsite in Boise, ID
Flexible schedule based on production and project needs
