Location : Boise and Nampa hospitals and outpatient clinics
Status : Full Time (1.0 FTE), Employed
Schedule : 10-hour hospital shifts (Mon – Sun).
Rotation with 4 APPs and 4 Physicians for inpatient work and includes outpatient clinic work.
Call : Shared equitably with Palliative Care Team

Practice Highlights: Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a Palliative Medicine Advanced Practice Provider to join its inpatient and outpatient Palliative Care service. SAMG is dedicated to improving the quality of life and the quality and efficiency of healthcare for patients with chronic conditions. Its team of Palliative providers provide:
Hospital & outpatient, interdisciplinary team consultations for patients in need of Palliative Care
Continuing education on Palliative Care topics for Saint Alphonsus health care providers.
Candidates must be passionate about meeting patients' health needs, and they must have demonstrated proficiency in comprehensive assessment, care planning, symptom management, problem solving and interdisciplinary teamwork. The Palliative Medicine APP will work with members of interdisciplinary teams, collaborating daily with Palliative Medicine physicians, other Advanced Practice Providers, RNs, social workers, chaplains, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists and other providers. The Palliative Medicine APP will practice in accordance with the applicable scope and standards of practice and within the policies, values, and mission of the Saint Alphonsus Health System.
Requirements :
Successful completion of NP or PA Graduate Program (Masters Level)AANP or ANCC certification for Nurse Practitioners
NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants
Current, unrestricted license in Idaho
Valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
2 years of experience in Palliative Medicine preferred, not required
