Job Description:\ Gem State Staffing are seekingAsbestos-Certified Abatement Techniciansfor a busy restoration and environmental services company serving theTreasure Valley. This role involves performing asbestos abatement and hazardous material remediation on residential, commercial, and industrial projects while following allIdahoDEQ,OSHA, andEPAregulations.
The ideal candidate is safety-driven, dependable, and experienced in abatement or restoration environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform asbestos abatement and remediation in accordance withIdahoDEQregulations
- Build and maintain containment systems, negative air units, and decontamination chambers
- Safely remove, bag, label, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials
- Use and maintain requiredPPE, respirators, and protective equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and job-site protocols
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Complete daily job logs and required documentation
- Work efficiently as part of a team on restoration projects
Requirements
- Valid Idaho Asbestos Certification (Required)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing manual labor
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and wearing fullPPE/respirator
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
- Prior abatement, demolition, or restoration experience preferred
