Engineering Technician
An industry‑leading aerospace electronics manufacturer is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join a growing team.
This role involves hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and light design support for complex electrical products used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. This is a long‑term, career‑oriented opportunity with strong visibility to leadership, internal training programs, and the ability to expand into new responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities
Perform testing and component‑level troubleshooting on complex electrical and aerospace electronic products
Diagnose test equipment or fixture failures and implement corrective actions
Set up, adjust, and operate manual and automated test equipment
Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to clarify designs and support process improvements
Document and report technical issues to Test, Design, or Engineering leadership
Determine testing methods and sequences for new assignments; provide technical guidance to peers
Cross‑train into additional technical functions as needed
Coordinate daily work with the supervisor to meet production schedules
Must‑Have Skills
Prior experience troubleshooting aerospace electronics to the component level
Strong troubleshooting ability, including component‑level diagnostics
Experience testing circuits and using standard test equipment
Proficiency with oscilloscopes, meters, and bench instrumentation
Ability to read, understand, and work from schematics
Experience with electrical/electronics test equipment and procedures
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
Test automation exposure
Hardware test experience
Ability to create or follow test plans
Basic CAD skills for simple test fixtures or drawings
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bohemia, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
