Job Description:
We are searching for the best talent for A2R Accounting Senior Supervisor - Legal Entity Accounting LATAM is in charge of local statutory accounts and statutory financial statements for companies in LATAM. This position is highly involved in all local statutory audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop audit plans in terms of timeline, ownership and expectations about the support
Performs supervision tasks to analysts that include performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, etc.
Strong expertise in audit processes, effectively coordinating communication and collaboration between Country Tax Center (CTC) contacts, audit teams, and tax advisors.
Apply a detailed understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
Focal point for Johnson & Johnson Country Tax Centers (CTCs) in local markets, leading communications and coordinating help needed
Served as the key point of contact within the group for all technical statutory accounting queries; established and sustained relationships with Country Tax Centers (CTCs), PwC audit teams, and relevant tax authorities.
Ensures compliance and adherence of Corporate GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP.
Monitors and facilitates the activities scheduled for each external audit.
Suggests changes in and additions to accounting practices and procedures.
Provide specific mentorship and support on business issues and financial system issues so that overall control is maintained
Ensure consistent processes to deliver data for local financial statements & local statistical submissions
Ensure compliance with local obligations in each of its regions in charge
Implements such changes where applicable.
Qualifications
Education:
- Education level required: Fully qualified accountant or an international qualified accountant equivalent, with a minimum of 7 years post qualified financial experience and oversight skills.
Experience:
Required:
Experience working in big four (PWC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte) or have under their responsibility the attention of the external audit.
Experience in a similar job in finance / accounting / customer service environment.
Knowledge of general accounting processes.
IFRS or USGAAP knowledge.
Expertise in Microsoft Excel, interpersonal skills, understanding of accounting principles and practices, compliance knowledge (SOX and internal controls)
Knowledge of local regulations in countries other than Colombia (optional)
Knowledge in business analytics (optional)

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
Shown business partnering skills (especially with external audit teams)
Ability to manage competing priorities, perform effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Phenomenal US GAAP and IFRS accounting knowledge
Appreciation of local GAAP differences and adjustments from US GAAP
Language requirements:
- Fluent English and Spanish; Portuguese as plus
