Purpose

As a Technical Business Analyst Associate, you will be the liaison between the business stakeholders and technology development teams, responsible for ensuring the business requirements and vision are clearly documented and communicated. You will contribute to creation of technical documents, participate in investigation and testing efforts in a fast-paced environment. You will connect with and understand multiple business lines requirements, ensuring reliable, accurate, and maintainable processes. As a member within the team, you are expected to act as a positive agent of change within the organization. You will work closely with the project team to provide support in delivery of enhancements and incident resolution, with the business needs in mind. The successful candidate will have a results-oriented and curious mindset with strong technical skills.

Accountabilities

· Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

· Support the implementation of technology solutions and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory expectations.

· Elicit, analyze, and document clear, accurate, and comprehensive business and technical requirements for system and process changes, translating business needs into effective digital and technology solutions that improve user experience.

· Develop detailed artifacts such as Business Requirements Documents, user stories, design documents, process flows, use cases, test plans, and training materials to support development, testing, deployment, and adoption activities.

· Participate in testing activities, including preparation and execution of functional, end-to-end, and user acceptance test cases; provide guidance and validations during release cycles and support production issue triage.

· Provide ongoing system support and continuous improvement, performing initial diagnostics, recommending robust solutions, monitoring KPIs, and contributing to business cases and cost/benefit analyses to drive value creation.

· Support and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, SMEs, and global partners – managing and updating project artifacts.

· Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be incorporated into in day-to-day activities and decisions.

· Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)

· Analytical and a strong problem solver with the drive to push the solution and progress.

· Strong technical foundation, including working knowledge of MS Office, SQL Server, and Python, with good understanding of current IT practices and emerging technologies.

· 1+ experience in Business Analyst role within a Financial Services Institution (or similar) with experience maintaining systems or executing small projects

· Working knowledge of project management lifecycles and methodologies (SDLC, Agile), and experience in end-to-end project execution task, take responsibility for deliverables, make informed decisions, and escalate or seek approval when appropriate.

· Demonstrated experience with working with a technology product from end to end, all the way through to delivery.

· Demonstrate ability to prepare testing related documents such as test plans, test cases, traceability matrix, test data spreadsheets, test execution reports etc.

· You are excellent in written and spoken English to clearly communicate complex issues and interface with all levels of the organization with ease.

· Bilingual English/Spanish language skills (B2 English level)
