Numerator Sr. Data Analyst in Bogota, Colombia
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in advanced analytics, statistical control, and market research.
The role carries high technical responsibility and direct impact on commercial decision-making. It focuses on designing analytical frameworks, building monitoring systems, ensuring data quality, and developing statistical models to explain variations in penetration, share, volume, and consumer behavior. The ideal candidate combines strong technical rigor with commercial awareness and the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights.
- Advanced Business Analytics:
· Translate commercial questions into structured analytical hypotheses.
· Analyze variations in key performance indicators (penetration, frequency, average spend, share, volume, distribution).
· Conduct trend analysis, cohort analysis, and variance decomposition.
· Develop explanatory and predictive statistical models when relevant.
· Deliver actionable insights to support strategic decisions.
- KPI Frameworks & Early Warning Systems:
· Design and maintain KPI measurement frameworks aligned with business strategy.
· Build statistical alert systems (confidence bands, moving windows, variability analysis).
· Identify meaningful deviations and prioritize analytical deep-dives.
· Standardize metric definitions and calculation methodologies.
- Data Quality & Statistical Validation:
· Implement logical and statistical validations to ensure consistency and representativeness.
· Analyze outliers, structural breaks, and data inconsistencies.
· Document methodologies and analytical processes.
· Proactively identify quality risks before they impact reporting.
- Automation & Analytical Efficiency:
· Automate data extraction, transformation, and analysis workflows.
· Optimize SQL queries and data models.
· Develop executive and operational dashboards (Power BI or similar tools).
· Reduce manual dependencies through scalable analytical solutions.
- Business Collaboration:
· Partner closely with commercial, operations, field, and client-facing teams.
· Translate technical findings into clear business narratives.
· Support strategic discussions with solid analytical foundations.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
Postgraduate degree in Analytics, Data Science, or Statistics (preferred).
Technical Skills:
Advanced SQL expertise.
Proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis and modeling.
Strong applied statistics knowledge (confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, regression, sampling design, variability analysis).
Experience building dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Experience working with large datasets.
Market research or consumer analytics experience (highly desirable).
Experience:
5+ years in data analysis, commercial analytics, or market research.
Experience designing monitoring and alert systems.
Experience developing statistical models applied to business.
Experience partnering with commercial stakeholders.
