What is the job about?

As our new Lead Sales Engineer, Industry, you will be developing and executing mid- to long-term strategic sales plans, leading new business feasibility studies, and providing expert technical guidance to customers and partners across the Industrial segment. This position reports directly to our Area Sales Director, IND, and will operate hybrid function of the Cota, Cundinamarca-Colombia facility. Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in Colombia without support.

Your main responsibilities:

As a key part of the Industrial Sales, Latin America team, you'll create impact by Driving profitable growth by combining deep technical expertise with strategic business development to deliver tailored solutions for industrial customers across the region.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Develop mid- to long-term strategic plans including growth engines in both business and product for the Industrial segment

  • Lead new business feasibility studies and develop business cases for market expansion opportunities

  • Collaborate with Business Managers and sales personnel to achieve sales budgets, contribution targets, and account profitability

  • Provide expert technical advice to customers, consultants, dealers, and contractors on products, system solutions, and applications

  • Conduct specialized training on products and applications for customers, partners, and the internal sales team

  • Coach and develop the competences of sales staff while ensuring CRM data integrity and opportunity management

Your background

Above all, you are a strategic and technically skilled sales professional with deep industry experience, a proven track record of driving complex sales initiatives, and the ability to coach and elevate team performance.

We would also imagine that you have:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in industrial sales or technical sales engineering

  • Strong background executing complex or specialized projects within an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • Proven knowledge of best practices in industry sales processes, including local regulations where applicable

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related technical field

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience working in a large manufacturing environment with regional or global scope

  • Proficiency with CRM tools and data-driven sales management approaches
