The Financial Control function plays a critical and highly influential role within the organization, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information, which directly impacts strategic decision-making and overall business success. As the guardians of financial accuracy, this team is responsible for preparing detailed financial statements for both management and local reporting, ensuring compliance with the highest standards and regulations. By managing internal and external audits, the Financial Control team supports transparency and accountability across the organization.

About the role:

  • Perform monthly and annual closing routines, ensuring compliance with the company's schedule as well as disclosure deadlines;

  • Prepare explanations of the biggest variations occurring in the month and year; striving classification errors;

  • Preparation of accounting reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and their variations in respect to to year over year and month over moth;

  • Make accounting records when needed;

  • Commercial acumen to accounting process management and analysis;

  • Carry out analysis of ongoing commercial plans, checking with financial reports, purchasing department and legal documents, in order to maintain the reliability of the balance sheet;

  • Follow-up of reconciliation issues with the responsible areas.

  • Delivery of internal controls relevant to its activities as bridge explanation of management books in English;

  • Support for external and internal audits, preparing information, explanations and collecting documentation;

  • Support in business projects such as: changes or adaptation of legislation, ensuring that accounting classification standards and procedures are being followed;

  • Assistance in delivering documentation for inspections;

  • Identification and develop improvement processes and systemic implementations regarding management reports;

  • Review of the chart of accounts and accounting scripts under its scope;

  • Accounting support for other areas, Management and Board of Directors

  • Understanding and supervising Headquarters policies, ensuring full services

  • Carry out other activities related to your role and work process procedures, as vital;

  • Know and align with the company's internal procedures and code of ethical conduct;

  • Develop, maintain and align with the area's procedures and work instructions;

Role Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, analysis and delivery of working capital analysis of trade spend, campaigns legalizations.

  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Preparation of monthly reporting schedules for financial statements global consolidation purposes.

  • Supporting external and internal audits, preparing information, explanations and collecting documentation.

  • Preparing information for requests and reports from stakeholders within the organization.

  • Analysis and preparation of reports, and monitoring of the implementation of commercial investment in A&P from the perspective of balance sheet figures, as well as initiatives to improve performance and efficiency in the market.

  • Preparation of ad hoc local and corporate requirements.

  • Analysis and recognition of inter-company royalties.

  • Execution of SOX controls.

  • Assistance in preparation of documentation required for inspections of Government entities.

  • Analysis of P&L items below operating profit, identifying significant variations and trends.

  • Supporting the development of internal market policies, ensuring they are properly designed and implemented, and complying with accounting standards at both corporate and local levels.

Experience / skills required:

  • Degree in Accounting Sciences

  • Experience with Accounting practices adopted for multinational companies (Local GAAP and IFRS)

  • Experience in preparing closing reports

  • Have worked with SAP - FI and CO modules

  • Advanced office package

  • Knowledge of Tax legislation

  • English: Advanced

  • Minimum 5 years experience
