The ODP Corporation Sr. Director, Network Design in Boca Raton, Florida

Overview

The Sr. Director, Network Design will lead strategic initiatives within Supply Chain. This leadership role leads engineering excellence, analytical design and continuous improvement to optimize the distribution center network footprint, including consolidations, relocations, and new facilities. The role oversees the development of the SOPHUS network design platform, uses scenario modeling and business case development to drive decisions, and owns benefits realization for key initiatives. In addition, the Sr. Director leads the operations technology strategy to enhance quality, efficiency, and service performance across the network.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic initiatives to enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) by leveraging advanced analytics, optimizing operational design, and applying structured continuous improvement methodologies.

  • On Time Delivery & Shipment Accuracy:

  • Set Performance and strategy by leveraging KPIs. Define and drive strategy to improve performance by utilizing established KPIs to measure Shipment On Time Delivery and Package accuracy. Design and implement best practices and share across the network to drive increased accuracy.

  • Elevate LTL On Time Delivery: Oversee LTL performance improvement through vendor review and selection.

  • On Time Delivery: Direct the development and implementation of processes to ensure accurate quoting to customers at the point of sale (for large, pallet purchases) on the true delivery date.

  • Lead Accuracy Improvement: Provide strategic leadership in analyzing distribution hub performance, lead the development of best practices, and deploy improvement strategy to enhance accuracy and performance.

  • Network Design & SOPHUS Platform:

  • Lead the design strategy and end-to-end build of SOPHUS, including data foundations, scenario modeling, and decision support.

  • Develop and evaluate scenarios to optimize the DC network (reduce site count, relocate facilities, and add new capacity) using tool outputs and sensitivity analyses.

  • Lead efforts to translate modeling results into actionable recommendations, implementation roadmaps, and risk/mitigation plans.

  • Business Cases & Benefits Realization:

  • Lead the development to build robust business cases for proposed network changes and required investments, clearly articulating assumptions, options, and trade-offs.

  • Define quantify and track committed benefits, including financial returns—IRR, NPV, Payback Period (PPP)—and service outcomes—SLA adherence and customer impact.

  • Establish a recurring cadence to report progress to leadership, highlighting value delivered vs. plan and corrective actions where needed.

  • Operations Technology & Performance Management:

  • Lead the operations strategy for the review, introduction and scaling of technologies that improve quality and efficiency across sites.

  • Lead the strategy to define and implement KPI dashboards and metric packs, ensuring clear targets, baselines, and accountability for improvement initiatives.

  • Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, and Commercial teams to prioritize use cases, validate benefits, and ensure successful deployment and adoption.

Education and Experience:

  • Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Area of Study: Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 10+ Type of Experience: Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics. Understanding of network design and multi-site networks.

  • Technical Competencies & Information Systems: Project planning, WMS systems, Analytics and dashboard creation.

  • Skills & Abilities: Ability to lead teams, influence decisions, analyze data, prioritize projects and communicate complex network topics.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule: The salary range for this role is $159,700/year to $271,100/year, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
