Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of financial processes, including managing correspondence, verifying payment accuracy, and resolving customer inquiries. This role requires precision, adaptability, and strong communication skills to support the Finance team effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Manage correspondence with JPMorgan and ensure timely action on related tasks.
• Verify the accuracy of system-generated policyholder refunds and address discrepancies.
• Post policyholder payments into the policy administration system with precision.
• Analyze aged accounts receivable balances and recommend appropriate write-offs.
• Respond to customer service requests, including reapplying funds, investigating cash issues, processing expedited refunds, and handling credit card transactions.
• Perform voiding and reissuing of checks as necessary.
• Address escalated queries from offshore teams and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance payment processing workflows and accuracy.
• Maintain organized records of financial transactions for auditing purposes.
• Support the Finance team in achieving operational goals by managing multiple priorities effectively.
Requirements • High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in cash applications or a similar financial role.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tasks such as data entry and reconciliation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to address customer and team inquiries.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines consistently and effectively.
• Familiarity with insurance consumer premium receivables is a plus.
