Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel-Kingman is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Purchasing Administrator. The successful candidate will process requisitions and purchase orders while always looking for ways to drive costs down; ensure accurate costing accounts; conduct warehouse reorders; communicate with current and potential suppliers; set up new vendors; maintain office supply inventory; prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports; follow up on late orders; maintain purchase order files and contractor insurance. This role will also support the accounting team and perform other administrative duties as needed. Safety is an important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards to keep safety as the most important thing we do.
