Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Blue Ash, Ohio
Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a healthcare organization on a Contract basis in Blue Ash, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone who can manage invoice processing with accuracy, maintain strong vendor relationships, and keep payment activities moving efficiently. The position offers an opportunity to support core accounting operations while contributing to compliance, reporting, and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Review invoices and employee expense submissions, apply proper coding, and ensure payments are completed accurately within required timelines.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, vendor questions, and other accounts payable issues in a timely and thorough manner.
• Partner with accounting and operational teams across the organization to coordinate approvals and maintain smooth invoice processing workflows.
• Set up and maintain vendor records, ensuring account information is complete, accurate, and properly documented.
• Contribute to month-end close activities by preparing payable-related reconciliations and supporting reporting needs.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation and explaining accounts payable records when needed.
• Support year-end tax reporting tasks, including preparation of 1099 documentation and related data review.
• Recommend enhancements to accounts payable procedures and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide assistance on special projects and take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve. Requirements • Hands-on experience in accounts payable, including invoice review, payment processing, and expense report handling.
• Strong understanding of account coding and the ability to code invoices accurately.
• Experience supporting check runs and maintaining timely payment schedules.
• Familiarity with NetSuite and confidence working within accounting systems.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and resolve payable-related problems effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
