CED Precision Machining CNC Operator in Bloomsdale, Missouri
Summary
The primary job function of a Machine Operator is operating CNC machines to produce precision metal parts. They may produce small batches or large quantities of parts, and ensure products meet precise specifications in a fast pace environment.
Essential Functions
Operate machine tools such as lathes, and milling machines to produce parts utilizing a variety of materials
Review blueprints or specifications for a job.
Position workpiece on the lathe or milling machine.
Ensure workpiece is properly lubricated and/or cooled.
Detect problems by observation and listening for specific sounds.
Inspect parts with precision measuring tools.
Replace dull cutting tools.
Check accuracy of work against blueprints, specifications and record measurements.
Produce large quantities or parts.
Perform other essential duties as directed by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong organizational, communication and multitasking skills. The qualifications may include:
Machine operator experience
Ability to read and use gauges, micrometer and calipers.
Ability to read prints.
Ability to read and follow documented instructions.
Adhere to health and safety requirements.
Teamwork and communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
