Insight Global Nortel Engineer in Bloomington, Minnesota
Job Description
Our client, is launching a large-scale telephony modernization initiative to migrate from Nortel CS 2100 to Cisco. To support this effort, they are expanding the existing team and seeking 1–2 experienced Nortel CS 2100 Engineers to assist with system support and migration-related activities.
This is a contractor role, working alongside existing Nortel resources already onsite.
This is offering a pay rate of 45-50.
Responsibilities
Provide hands-on support for Nortel CS 2100 environments during a phased migration to Cisco
Support day-to-day CS 2100 application operations, ensuring system stability throughout the transition
Perform MACD (Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletes) activities
Manage and maintain translations within the CS 2100 platform
Support SRT (Software Release Tools / Support) and related system processes
Assist with troubleshooting, configuration, and validation activities tied to the migration effort
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support cutover planning and execution
Participate in knowledge transfer and documentation as required
Travel to Cleveland, OH for an initial onsite visit (additional onsite support may be requested as needed, but role is primarily remote)

Skills and Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Nortel CS 2100
Solid knowledge of:
CS 2100 applications
SRT
MACD processes
Translations
Experience supporting enterprise-scale telephony environments
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with distributed teams
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills Experience supporting telephony migration projects, particularly Nortel to Cisco
Prior healthcare or large enterprise environment experience
Familiarity with Cisco voice platforms (nice to have, not required)
