JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Land Planning & Entitlement is responsible for managing all aspects of engineering approvals and permits for their assigned division. This position requires onsite attendance 5 days per week at assigned project sites in the greater MSP Area. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all aspects of land entitlement, planning, engineering approvals and permits. Coordinates the EPCOT (preliminary project planning) process across all disciplines. Ensures accurate and timely information is communicated to sales and construction. Provide engineering support to acquisitions for all feasibility. Participate with other strategic Ops members in the discussion/decision of general company initiatives. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures appropriate staffing to meet department needs Utilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talent Delegates work according to employee s abilities and skills Evaluates employee s performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance Provides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities Creates opportunities for employee growth Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors) SCOPE: Decision Impact: Division Department Responsibility: Single Budgetary Responsibility: No Direct Reports: Yes Indirect Reports: No Physical Requirements: If applicable
