This role is responsible for supporting, improving, and advancing manufacturing operations through process development, validation, implementation, and documentation. The Manufacturing Engineer partners closely with production and maintenance teams to assess equipment and capital requirements, build business cases, and provide hands-on engineering support throughout project execution.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize manufacturing lines and workflows using Lean methodologies and recognized industry practices to achieve throughput and capacity targets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and output, applying structured problem-solving methods and Six Sigma tools.
Identify opportunities for automation within manufacturing operations and lead approved automation projects from concept through startup. Provide technical support for existing automated systems, including controls, software, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
Create, update, and maintain manufacturing documentation such as process maps, work instructions, routings, drawings, and time studies to clearly define process requirements and flow.
Analyze and estimate production costs, cycle times, and labor requirements, compiling findings into clear documentation and presentations for stakeholder review.
Contribute to new product development efforts by supporting manufacturing readiness, participating on NPD teams, and developing new processes or capabilities. Conduct trials, R&D activities, and deliver supporting data, reports, and analysis as required.
Support quality systems and corrective action activities, including root cause analysis and ongoing compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements, audits, and re-certification efforts.
Lead or participate in manufacturability assessments, including SWOT analyses, to improve cost, quality, cycle time, and capacity performance.
Coordinate tooling sourcing activities by obtaining quotes, preparing documentation, and working with Purchasing to place tooling orders.
Demonstrate flexibility in managing shifting priorities and evolving work assignments.
Essential Skills
Engineering degree or comparable technical background, with 1+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts, with a track record of developing and deploying efficient production processes and layouts.
Demonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and execute sustainable improvements using formal problem-solving methodologies.
background in creating, updating, and managing work instructions and standardized processes within an ISO 9001:2015–compliant operation.
Project coordination experience involving evaluation, acquisition, and implementation of capital equipment.
Advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills, paired with clear written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, high‑tempo environment.
Aptitude for addressing complex challenges through innovative and practical solutions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
Consistent adherence to company safety policies and a proactive approach to workplace health.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
