Integrated Polymer Solutions Manufacturing Engineer in Bloomfield, Connecticut
Kamatics is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support to Manufacturing Operations. The role involves developing manufacturing process layouts, designing tools and fixtures, and ensuring production methods meet customer requirements, quality standards, and productivity targets. The Manufacturing Engineer will lead product development projects while maintaining cost, quality, and timeline objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and document manufacturing processes, tool, and fixture designs.
Collaborate with machinists to improve efficiency and sustain standard machining techniques.
Apply Lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and reduce costs.
Conduct research and create ROI analyses to support equipment acquisition.
Develop work instructions and methods for new products or equipment.
Program CNC machines using Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) systems to meet productivity and quality targets.
Train Production Engineers and support team knowledge development.
Troubleshoot assembly, machining, and manufacturing issues, working with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned to achieve department and company goals.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a machine shop environment; proficiency with CAM programs required.

Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, twisting, grasping, standing, and visual/mental attention.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed; occasional travel may be required.
