About the role
As a People & Culture Senior Advisor, you will work closely with leaders across Cherry Point to deliver practical, people-focused solutions aligned with business priorities and bp values. You will advise, coach, and influence leaders on employee lifecycle decisions, proactively manage employee relations matters, and help maintain a positive and engaged workforce.
Working as part of bp’s integrated People & Culture team—alongside P&C Services and Centers of Excellence—you will help translate bp’s people strategy into meaningful outcomes at the site level.
Key Accountabilities:
Leader & Business Partnership
Partner with leaders across Cherry Point Refinery to deliver People & Culture initiatives aligned with site and business priorities
Provide day-to-day coaching and advice on people management, performance, and organizational decisions
Support leaders through workforce changes with sound judgement, empathy, and consistency
Employee Relations & Engagement
Lead and manage employee relations cases, ensuring fair, timely, and compliant outcomes
Proactively identify engagement or employee relations risks and support early intervention
Maintain strong awareness of employee sentiment across supported groups
Talent & Capability
Partner with Talent and Centers of Excellence to support talent planning, development, and succession
Encourage inclusive leadership practices and help build strong, capable teams
Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with P&C Services and CoEs to deliver seamless, high-quality People & Culture support
Identify opportunities to improve ways of working and share best practices
Essential Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Essential experience & requirements
Experience in Human Resources / People & Culture
Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, and organizational change
Strong coaching and influencing skills
Knowledge of local labor laws and employment regulations
Experience working in a matrixed or complex operational environment
Desirable
Experience supporting hourly or frontline workforces in an operational or industrial environment
Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent)
On-site HR experience in a refinery or manufacturing environment.

How much do we pay (Base)? $77,000 - $143,000 *Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full times employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
