JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for the ongoing management of relationships to assist the assigned Banker(s) in realizing efficiencies, quality of the process and product, retention, and expansion of banking relationships consistent with the bank\'s goals and objectives for growth, credit quality, and rates of return. This position requires knowledge, proficiency, and adherence to internal policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations. The Business Lending Portfolio Manager position assists business lenders with business loan applications, may include joint officer calls, works with clients on follow-up information and specific requests on business loans, assists in loan closings, serves as an additional point of contact for the borrower, expedites loan renewals, assists in monitoring/tracking loan covenants, oversees business construction loan draw process, assists in the collection of all business related loans and works with charge-offs, and helps in handling bankruptcy claims, estate claims. This position will provide administrative support (and is to be a liaison to other departments to complete these tasks) for the assigned Banker(s). Works with and through others in the organization to accomplish these responsibilities. The Business Lending Portfolio Manager promotes business through good client relations and cross selling services in adherence with the Bank\'s lending policies and procedures. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Enhancing Business Loan Processing: Collaborate closely with Business Bankers to collect and analyze financial data, determining the creditworthiness and merits of loan requests. Coordinate the execution of loan documentation, ensuring all materials are accurate, complete, and compliant. Actively participate in weekly loan meetings to review maturing loans, discuss strategies for managing past due loans, and address any operational concerns. Assist the Credit Department in preparing Loan Presentation materials, ensuring that all relevant information is thoroughly documented and presented. Oversee the business construction loan draw process, reviewing requests, coordinating with title companies, and ensuring timely funding. Manage the technical exception list for business lending, ensuring all follow-up actions are completed promptly. Maintain consistency and compliance by adhering to all bank policies and procedures, completing administrative tasks accurately and on time. Ensure all data files are complete and properly uploaded for audits, exams, and reporting requirements. Assist with loan reporting to the Board of Directors, including but not limited to regulatory requirements, portfolio concentrations, and loan-to-value ratios. Coordinate collateral inspections, site visits, reviews, and appraisals, ensuring thorough evaluations for new requests and upcoming loan maturities. Review loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with loan policies, ensuring a smooth loan closing and funding process. Driving Business Growth: Stay current with lending, collections, and compliance regulations, ensuring all activities are up-to-date with industry standards. Actively participate in community and civic functions, representing the bank and enhancing its market position in business financing. Cross-sell the bank\'s products and services to existing clients and identify opportunities to introduce new clients to the bank. Collaborate with other departments to ensure clients receive a full range of banking services tailored to their needs. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in various internal committees, contributing insights and expertise to drive the bank\'s strategic initiatives.
