Do you have a track record of delivering construction projects within the healthcare sector? If so, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in Birmingham where you will have a focus on delivering capital projects for NHS trusts.
You will be required to lead Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery under the supervision of a Director or Regional Lead.
You will need to provide an oversight / strategic guidance/audit & review, to a portfolio of projects at any one time. At times you may also need to provide effective support to other Project Managers on larger projects.
Here’s what you’ll do:
The duties are to ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time. Part of this role is also to develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team whilst being the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing) and manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards.
Within your role you will carry out but will not be limited to the following tasks.
Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.
Consistently delivers profit margins planned.
Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
Manages more complex clients and projects.
Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.
Supervises and directs Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects.

Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?
Here’s what we’re looking for:
As a Senior Project Manager you will posses the following qualifications and experience;
Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Degree
Recent experience working within an NHS Trust environment delivering capital projects as either Trust Estates Manager, Trust Project Manager or NEC Project Manager
Understanding of Procure 23 framework and its implementation
Understanding of NHS Trust organisation and interdependencies in relation to the development of NHS Trust capital projects
Chartered Status with the MAPM, RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution
Relevant degree or professional qualification
Work experience within a similar consultancy or other client facing business
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Excellent understanding of construction contracts ideally JCT and NEC and the built environment
Excellent understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
