Working under direct supervision, you will apply your developing expertise in security architecture, network security design, and infrastructure protection to create security designs, implement security controls, and support security engineering projects. You will contribute to infrastructure security solutions while building your skills in secure design patterns, security technologies, and architecture frameworks under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.
What you'll be doing:
The Role
As a Security Design Engineer, you’ll help design, build, and support security solutions for enterprise‑scale environments. Working alongside senior engineers and architects, you’ll contribute to network security designs, infrastructure protection, and secure architecture patterns—while developing your own technical skills along the way.
This role is ideal for someone with a technical foundation who wants to advance into security design and architecture.
What You’ll Do
Security Architecture Support
Contribute to secure design work across enterprise projects
Provide input on security requirements and architecture decisions
Help develop reference architectures and reusable design patterns
Document designs and feedback from architecture reviews
Network Security Design & Implementation
Help create firewall rule sets, ACLs, and technical security policies
Assist in designing VPN solutions
Produce network/security diagrams and configuration documentation
Security Technology & Platform Design
Help design solutions such as SIEM, endpoint protection, and monitoring tools
Create technical specifications and support proof‑of‑concept testing
Assist with integration design for new tools and platforms
Infrastructure Hardening
Help define secure baseline configurations (e.g., CIS benchmarks)
Document hardening standards and validation procedures
Assist in configuration reviews and remediation planning
Technical Assessment Support
Support design assessments and security architecture reviews
Validate that implemented controls meet design intent
Identify gaps or risks in infrastructure designs
Document findings and recommended improvements
What experience you'll bring:
What We’re Looking For
2–4 years in security engineering or infrastructure roles
1–2 years working with network security technologies
Understanding of security architecture and design principles
Knowledge of security standards and regulatory frameworks
Strong communication and documentation skills
Experience with secure configuration, hardening, or automation
