A little more about your role…
You will be working with a strong team to deliver FM heath checks, Helpdesk and Performance Monitoring System / Payment Mechanism audits, Due Diligence and Benchmarking reports and various other contractual reviews on PFI/PPP schemes as well as wider Facilities Management portfolios and projects across a wide range of sectors, but including Health, Education, Social Housing and Student Accommodation. You will have a good understanding of the contractual aspects and operational issues associated to Handback given this is more prevalent with the upcoming end of concession of PFI projects. You will be responsible for delivering and prioritising your own workload in line with business expectations.
You will be focused on Health and Safety and understanding contractual obligations relating to the deliver of Facilities Management contracts. You will be able to interpret technical information into clear communication for a broad range of audiences.
You will support Business Development recognising potential opportunities for other teams, supporting on proposal development and building bids.
Overall, you will act as Project Manager for own jobs and be responsible for project delivery from start to finish – initial client calls, fee and proposal development, Appointment Letter development, delivering work, project management of work, client queries, invoicing, chasing debt all supported through developing knowledge of and delivering required outcomes utilising WSP’s internal project and finance systems.
Within the team, you will yourself be supported and focus will be given to your professional development along with a view that you support development and growth of junior team members through training and mentoring.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
You have a strong working knowledge / experience of the PPP/PFI sector gained from an FM Operational, FM Consultancy or Technical Advisory background.
Have an understanding of handback and lifecycle related contractual implications.
Can demonstrate the effective management and achievement of team/business unit objectives.
Have a proven ability to manage client relationships at stakeholder level.
Can communicate clearly and articulately.
Degree or above ideally in FM or related technical subject.
Previous Facilities Management consulting experience.
Preferred to have previous Facilities Management contract management or GM experience.
Organising and managing own workloads.
The role requires undertaking site visits across the UK, including overnight stays where required.
