Construction Manager – Electric Utility (Journeyman Lineman Preferred)
Location: Southeastern U.S. (Travel Required)

Salary Range: $140,000–$175,000 Base + Benefits
About the Role
Actalent Services is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager with electric utility and journeyman lineman experience to lead and support high‑profile utility construction inspection programs across the Southeastern U.S.
This is a leadership role designed for an industry professional who combines deep field expertise with strong business and client-facing leadership. You’ll provide hands‑on guidance to field teams and consultants, ensure safe and compliant execution, and partner closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.

What You’ll Be DoingProgram & Team Leadership
Serve as the construction authority across assigned utility construction inspection programs
Lead, mentor, and coach Team Leads to drive performance, accountability, and safety excellence
Communicate company goals, client expectations, site safety practices, and project milestones
Conduct regular team meetings to reinforce priorities, best practices, and expectations
Project Oversight & Execution
Own the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of project deliverables from start to finish
Develop and manage schedules aligned to project criticality, duration, and team strengths
Identify delivery risks early, resolve blockers, and ensure milestones are achieved
Maintain strong program governance through status reporting, risk management, and executive updates
Client Engagement & Business Partnership
Act as a primary point of contact for clients on day‑to‑day execution
Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders at multiple levels
Ensure contract compliance and a high level of client satisfaction
Partner with Actalent delivery managers to identify and support new business opportunities
Training, Hiring & Continuous Improvement
Support hiring and onboarding of new team members
Identify skill gaps and training needs based on project changes and team performance
Deliver client‑specific training on processes, procedures, and policies
Drive continuous improvement across execution models and delivery processes
Safety & Compliance
Champion safety culture and ensure compliance with all OSHA and utility safety standards
Verify teams have the tools, resources, and equipment needed to work safely and efficiently
What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
15+ years of professional experience in electric utility construction
5+ years in a supervisory or management role (Construction Manager, Superintendent, Field Manager, etc.)
Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) in general power delivery
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and utility safety standards
Proven ability to lead field teams and operate confidently in client‑facing environments
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to travel to project sites throughout the Southeastern U.S.
Highly Desired
Journeyman Lineman experience
Combination of technical expertise and business acumen
Experience working in cross‑functional and virtual team environments
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $140,000–$175,000 (DOE)

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
