Instructional Designer & Video Content Creator
Overview
We’re seeking a highly creative, fast-moving, and detail‑oriented Instructional Designer & Video Content Creator to support the digital rollouts.
You’ll work within a high‑volume “content factory” model, producing videos the initial phase, with opportunities to support ongoing product enhancements and new training initiatives. If you have a passion for visual storytelling and the ability to simplify technical topics, this role is for you.
Top Skills (Must‑Have)
Video & Media Creation
Create short, engaging training videos using Synthesia, Camtasia and Adobe Premiere Pro
Stitch together screenshots, add AI voiceovers, incorporate on-screen animations, and maintain clean, consistent visual flow
Ensure all video assets reflect brand standards and visual identity guidelines
Instructional Design
Convert written content (emails, process documents, outlines) into job aids, infographics, scripts, and other learner‑ready deliverables
Transform complex technical workflows into clear, compelling visual narratives
Apply adult learning principles to create content that is intuitive, concise, and effective
Secondary Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience in creative services or digital media production
Experience in designing infographics and visual learning collateral
Ability to propose and integrate knowledge checks into short‑form learning
Familiarity with learning content development in fast‑paced, iterative environments
Responsibilities
Develop micro-learning videos (<3 minutes) using Synthesia, screenshots, and recorded workflows
Edit and package video content in Adobe Premiere Pro, ensuring high production quality
Translate technical PMS training material into visually engaging tutorials and job aids
Produce infographics, quick-reference guides, and other complementary learning assets
Work closely with cohort managers to support kickoff calls and weekly learning content needs
Maintain alignment with brand guidelines and visual identity standards throughout all outputs
Manage content versioning and update materials as the system evolves
Collaborate with SMEs, project teams, and content leads while working independently day‑to‑day

Ability to deliver high-quality content quickly without sacrificing accuracy or visual polish
Strong storytelling instincts and a sharp creative eye
Organized, proactive, and comfortable working within structured deadlines
Portfolio of previous training videos or instructional design work (required)
Qualifications
Proficiency with Synthesia, Camtasia and Adobe Premiere Pro
Demonstrated experience in both instructional design and video production
Strong visual design sensibilities and understanding of brand alignment
Ability to simplify and visualize technical processes for non‑technical learners
Experience producing short-form learning or microlearning content
Excellent attention to detail and consistency

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
