Role Summary

First Horizon is seeking a Fraud Digital Banking Analyst to join our Fraud Strategy Analytics team. We’re looking for a detail‑oriented, analytical professional who excels at working with large datasets to detect and mitigate emerging fraud risks. This role focuses on deep‑dive analysis across digital payment channels—including Zelle, ACH, Online Banking, Bill Pay, and Wires—using Excel, Power BI, and related tools. The ideal candidate is collaborative, curious, and able to translate data into actionable fraud‑mitigation strategies.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and synthesize large transaction datasets using Excel, Power BI, and other analytics tools to identify evolving fraud patterns.

  • Apply advanced Excel techniques (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation) to perform detailed fraud analyses.

  • Collaborate with management and cross‑functional teams to communicate findings and support fraud‑mitigation strategies.

  • Research and monitor shifts in fraud activity; provide clear recommendations to enhance controls.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work with minimal supervision.

  • Document analyses, prepare reporting, and present insights to audiences with varying levels of data literacy.

  • Stay informed on fraud trends, detection tools, and analytic best practices.

  • Uphold confidentiality and follow all data‑handling standards.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business/Finance, or a related field; OR 5+ years of fraud analytics or similar data‑analysis experience.

  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced Excel for data analytics.

  • Ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in large datasets.

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex findings.

  • Self‑starter with strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Experience with Power BI strongly preferred.

  • Effective team collaboration skills.

  • Occasional flexibility in work hours as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in banking, digital payments, or fraud prevention.

  • Familiarity with SQL or Python for data analysis (not required).

  • Proven ability to convert technical insights into clear business recommendations.
