Budget Title: Staff Associate (SL-4)

Salary: $64,474+ (commensurate with experience)

The Director of Admissions and Student Services for the Department of Higher Education and Student Affairs is responsible for managing the department's recruitment and admission process, overseeing all aspects of the department's graduate internship program, and providing student services to master's students in the department. These duties include:

  • Develop strategic recruitment plan

  • Design, coordinate, and implement all recruitment activities

  • Manage SLATE

  • Coordinate and track graduate student funding offers

  • Coordinate, plan, and execute GA interview days event yearly

  • Oversee internship registration, site supervisor recruitment, and site relationships including internship site visits

  • Meet with students searching for internships, and track student progress, evaluations, and assessment

  • Advise students on general advising questions or issues

  • Oversee GAFD process

  • Plan and oversee New Student Orientation for fall and spring

    Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree (or higher) in student affairs administration, higher education, public administration, or closely related field

  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience

  • Familiarity with graduate school application process

  • Effective interpersonal communications skills

  • Effective organizational skills

  • Experience working with diverse populations

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with Slate, Degree Works, SAS, and/or BU Brain

  • Experience supervising student staff
