City of Billings Summer Camp Counselor - Seasonal in Billings, Montana
The City of Billings is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic Summer Camp Counselors to help create a safe, supportive, and exciting summer experience for children. Ideal candidates enjoy working with kids, leading activities, and serving as positive role models while helping campers make lasting memories. Pay: $15.00 -- $17.00 per hour. Work Schedule: 30 - 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Typical day is 7:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Preferred Dates: May 28, 2026 - August 28, 2026. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for all campers. • Lead and assist with a variety of camp activities. • Work closely and patiently with children of different ages. • Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, and participation. • Always serve as a positive role model. • Ensure a safe and clean facility and environment. • Provide excellent care and customer service to the public. Required Qualifications: • Must meet minimum age requirements. • Strong communication skills and a positive, energetic attitude. • Ability to lead and engage children in activities, projects, and field trips. • Dependable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team. • Previous experience working with children preferred. Additional Requirements: • First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided if needed).
