Physical Therapy Assistant (1.0 FTE) I/P PHYSICAL THERAPY (Billings Clinic Main Campus) req11551Shift: Day, WeekendsEmployment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater) Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours every two weeks (Non-Exempt) Starting Wage DOE: $0.00 - 0.00May qualify for $5,000 Sign on BonusAcute Care Physical Therapy Assistant under the supervision of a physical therapist, administers physical therapy treatments to patients. Work may be performed in one or more areas of Billings Clinic outpatient settings. Skills in multidisciplinary team care conferences, discharge planning, evaluating and treating acutely ill patients, medically complex patients in acute care, participation in ergonomics training and interdepartmental education and departmental work teams, oversight of Rehab techs and PTA students. Use of multiple aspects of EMR for documentation, billing and communication. Shift requirements may vary, working weekends and holidays.Essential Job Functions* Supports and models behaviors consistent with the mission and philosophy of Billings Clinic and department/service.* Administers active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage and electrical modality treatments such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot/cold modalities.* Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to learn and improve functional activities.* Observes patients during treatments and compiles and evaluates data on patients' responses to treatments and progress. Coordinates information with the Physical Therapist.
