Welder/Fabricator – Immediate Opening
Pay Rate: $25–$30/hr
Schedule: 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday
Assignment Length: Temp-to-Hire
Our client in Biddeford is hiring a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their team in a clean, air‑conditioned metal fabrication environment . This position pays $25–$30/hr and is temp-to-hire , offering long-term opportunity and stability.
This is a hands-on fabrication role ideal for experienced welders who can work independently, read blueprints, and produce high-quality tubular steel components with precision. Apply today!
Typical daily duties:
• Layout, fit, MIG weld, and finish tubular-steel parts per customer specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, cut lists, and BOMs
• Measure work pieces throughout fabrication to ensure quality and repeatability
• Perform daily safety checks and basic maintenance on welding equipment
• Identify defects or equipment issues and report them to supervision
What we’re looking for:
• High school diploma, trade school certificate, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency using tape measures, calipers, and related measuring tools
• Strong blueprint reading skills, including decimals and fractions
• Understanding of material behavior, including heat-related shrinkage/expansion
