What You’ll Do
Perform thorough inspections on finished metal parts before shipment or next‑step processing
Verify tight tolerances using precision tools such as verniers, calipers, and micrometers
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accuracy and compliance
Document inspection results clearly and accurately using computer‑based systems
Identify nonconforming parts and partner with production teams to resolve issues efficiently
Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives across the shop
Maintain a clean, organized inspection area and properly care for tools and equipment
Follow all safety and quality procedures in an active manufacturing environment
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience & Skills
1–3 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
Hands‑on experience with quality control or quality assurance, ideally in metal fabrication
Strong working knowledge of measurement tools and tight tolerances
Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a metal or sheet metal shop
Comfort working around welders, CNC machines, and fabrication equipment
Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving environment with short‑ to medium‑run jobs

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Biddeford, ME.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
