Description:

Key Responsibilities of an HR Officer in Hotels

  • Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Post job openings, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and conduct reference checks.

  • Facilitate onboarding by introducing new hires to hotel policies, culture, and service standards.

  • Training & Development

  • Organize training sessions on customer service, safety, and hospitality standards.

  • Identify skill gaps and implement development programs to enhance staff performance.

  • Employee Relations

  • Act as a mediator between staff and management to resolve conflicts.

  • Promote employee engagement and satisfaction through recognition programs and feedback systems.

  • Compliance & Policy Management

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, health and safety regulations, and hotel policies.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and handle disciplinary procedures when necessary.

  • Performance Management

  • Support managers in conducting appraisals and setting performance goals.

  • Monitor productivity and recommend improvements to align with hotel objectives.

Qualifications:

Skills & Qualifications

  • Essential Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.

  • Organizational ability to manage multiple HR functions simultaneously.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or Business Administration.

  • Prior experience in hospitality or service-oriented industries.
