Police Officer -- Village of Beverly
Location: Beverly, OH
The Village of Beverly seeks a dedicated Police Officer to maintain public safety, enforce laws, and foster a secure community. Officers report to the Police Chief.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol to deter crime and respond to emergencies
- Enforce local, state, and federal laws
- Investigate incidents, collect evidence, and prepare reports
- Apprehend suspects and follow proper procedures
- Monitor traffic and issue citations
- Provide testimony in court and assist with community programs
- Administer first aid/CPR when needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Ohio driver's license & clean driving record
- OPOTA certification or eligibility
- Pass background check & drug screening
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
Special Requirements:
- Certification as a Peace Officer by OPOTA or ability to obtain
- Maintain valid Ohio driver's license throughout employment
*Starting Wage: *$25.50/hour (depending on experience)
