Job Title: Material Handler (B Shift)
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler, where you will play a crucial role in the movement and management of materials within our production department. Your expertise will ensure safe and effective operations, contributing to our overall success.
Responsibilities
Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to move materials to and from the production department.
Conduct daily pre-shift checks on forklifts, including battery changes, to ensure operational safety.
Inspect packaged products to verify they are ready for shipment to customers.
Consistently lift boxes weighing up to 35 lbs.
Accurately fill out labels and paperwork, ensuring all information is complete.
Verify correct weights and counts for shipments.
Construct cardboard boxes from collapsed cartons.
Provide relief for packers during all breaks.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in material handling and forklift operation.
Experience in production and picking.
Skill in operating sit-down and clamp forklifts, as well as pallet jacks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior manufacturing experience.
A minimum of 6 months of forklift experience.
Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.

Work Environment
The work environment includes 2 shifts: 7am - 7pm (A & B) and 7pm - 7am (C & D), working 15 days of the month. Further details on temperature and cleanliness will be provided after a facility tour.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr.
