Long Island Nail Skin & Hair Institute Permanent Makeup Instructor in Bethpage, New York
Job Duties: - Conduct hands-on training sessions for students in microblading (eyebrows), lip liner, and eyeliner techniques - Develop and update lesson plans, curriculum, and instructional materials in compliance with New York State regulations - Demonstrate proper sanitation, sterilization, and bloodborne pathogen safety protocols - Supervise students during live model practice, providing real-time feedback and corrections - Evaluate student progress through practical exams, written tests, and competency assessments - Teach color theory, skin anatomy, and proper machine/hand tool usage - Ensure the classroom and equipment meet all health and safety standards
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Valid NYS Esthetics License - Nassau, Suffolk or NYC Tattoo Permit - Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience performing microblading, lip liner, and eyeliner procedures - Proven experience in a teaching, mentoring, or training capacity - Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards, infection control, and NYS Department of Health regulations - Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills - Ability to provide constructive feedback and adapt teaching styles to different learning levels - Current CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
