Description We are looking for an experienced Public Staff Tax Accountant to join our team in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This is a contract position offering flexibility and an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tax preparation and accounting, with the ability to handle individual and corporate tax returns efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns with precision and attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations during tax preparation.
• Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx software to manage and process tax documents effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to address complex tax matters and provide solutions.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support tax filings.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for tax savings and optimization for clients.
• Provide thorough guidance to clients regarding tax-related inquiries.
• Stay updated on changes in tax policies and legislation to ensure accurate application.
• Support accounting functions as needed to complement tax preparation efforts.
• Manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines during peak tax seasons. Requirements • Proven experience in preparing individual and corporate tax returns.
• Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem Fx or similar tax preparation software.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules based on seasonal demands.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
